Aaron Stephens is a soulful singer and songwriter whose powerful, expressive voice sits at the heart of his music. Rooted in soul, blues, gospel, and American roots music, his sound carries the warmth of tradition while feeling distinctly his own.

Born near Chicago and raised on the Texas border in McAllen, Stephens draws from the musical cultures and traditions that shaped him, bringing a deep sense of feeling and groove to every performance. His steel guitar adds another voice to the music, weaving expressive melodies and textures around his vocals.

Influenced by artists such as Bill Withers, Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Ben Harper, and Robert Randolph, Stephens creates music that moves between intimate soul, blues-driven grooves, and uplifting roots music.

Whether performing solo or with his band, Stephens is ultimately a vocalist first, using his voice to tell stories, carry emotion, and create a genuine connection with the audience. His performances have taken him to stages including Antone’s, the Continental Club, and ACL Fest, and he has shared the stage with artists including Leon Bridges and Marcus King.
