The Story

Music has always been about connection.

I was born near Chicago, raised on the Texas border in McAllen, and eventually found my way to Central Texas, carrying pieces of each place with me. Growing up between different cultures and musical traditions shaped the way I hear music. Soul, blues, gospel, country, and folk all found their way into my sound, not because I set out to blend genres, but because they were always part of my story.

At the heart of it all is the steel guitar. A voice that can sing, cry, and celebrate in ways no other instrument can, and it became the perfect partner for the songs I wanted to write. Along with a deep love for artists like Bill Withers, Derek Trucks, Ben Harper, and Robert Randolph, it helped me discover a sound that feels both rooted and personal.

Whether I'm performing solo or with my band, my goal is always the same. I try to create a space where people can slow down, connect, and leave feeling a little lighter than when they arrived. Some nights that means quiet, reflective songs. Other nights it means grooves that get people smiling and moving together.

Over the years I've had the opportunity to perform at places like Antone's, the Continental Club, and ACL Fest, and to share stages with artists including Leon Bridges and Marcus King. Those moments have been meaningful, but they're not why I make music.

I write songs because music has a way of bringing people together. That's the feeling I'm always chasing.
